This
month, Jeremy Hyde has been chosen as the spotlight
servant. Jeremy will begin serving at Mission in August
as the Spiritual Formation Pastor. Jeremy is married to
Shelly, and he has two stepsons, Matthew (15), and Mark
(13). He enjoys playing golf, music, reading, and jet
skiing.
Jeremy has
served in small group leadership development, as well as a
Worship Pastor, Grief Counselor, Hospice Chaplain, and
Youth Pastor. Jeremy is most fulfilled through these
ministries when he can use his life experiences to help
others grow in their relationship with God. He also enjoys
working closely with others to see what Christ can
accomplish through teamwork!
When Jeremy was
14, he accepted Christ in a county wide youth rally, and his
spiritual growth really took off when he was in college. God
has helped him survive many challenges in his life. God has
been able to take the worst times in his life and create new
dreams and hopes that could have not been there otherwise.
Jeremy’s
favorite verse is Psalm 121:1-2, “I lift up my eyes to the
hills. Does my help come from there? My help comes from the
Lord, who made the heavens and the earth.” He says that this
verse has been comforting so many times as a reminder that
with anything he faces, God is present at all times!
